And, here is a bio: Christopher D. Sims a.k.a. UniverSouLove is a nationally-known open mic host who spent his time learning  the open mic (poetry) scene in Memphis, TN and in his hometown Rockford, Illinois. Using open mics as platforms to encourage local talent and to present artists to communities, it is a specialty that has helped Christopher form partnerships with organizations, develop local talent, and create positive community improvements and impact. Politically as well as socially Christopher sees open mics as the most democratic environments where artists such as poets engage audiences in important and vital dialogue and learning opportunities.
